FOUR OPENINGS THAT MODERNIZE MADRID

Madrid is boiling. Decoration, crafts, gastronomy and leisure come to expand the offer of the center of the capital with new premises. Today we went through four of these openings, do you sign up?

The center of Madrid is being transformed by leaps and bounds, moving towards a modernization in which the innovative is combined with a greater offer of leisure, gastronomy and design. Today we have four new openings that come to provide a touch of identity.

Limbo Restaurant

The Malasaña neighborhood is already one of the most dynamic contexts in the capital. And, in the midst of this boiling, Limbo restaurant has opened its doors, where culture and gastronomy go hand in hand in a space where a grill and a brewery coexist with a stage for exhibitions, performances and events. The restaurant is the new bet of the La Musa group that has bet on this place in which the Argentine chef Javier Brichetto, known as “the king of the tapa”, proposes a tasty, accessible and quality gastronomy, with outstanding dishes like his chickens roasted on charcoal.

Interior design, by the Triscaideca Studio, is committed to an industrial environment. Diaphanous spaces and a garage aspect, with natural materials, such as iron, wood and concrete, make it a place that comes with a strong commitment to innovation.

The furniture is simple, highlighting the purity of the materials. “The shared tables, bleachers, benches, stairs and shelves are built to enhance their essence because we like to bet on the beauty of the imperfection, the weld finishes and the anchors seen”, explains Gonzalo Álvarez, from Triscaideca. In the same way, electricity, sanitation and climate facilities have been kept in view to integrate them into the decoration. Lighting is also a very careful element, generating a theatricality not only in the space for events. The colored bulbs, type verbena or country party, provide warmth and a fun touch, complemented by neon lights in the bar of the brewery.

Local drinks San Mateo Circus

Also in this increasingly dynamic and cosmopolitan neighborhood of Madrid, San Mateo Circus, a local of Longdrinks & Cocktails, has just opened, in which music and gastronomy find a context with an interior design that is in itself a spectacle .

The place is located in the mythical San Mateo Seis, a historic Madrid night and has been renovated and designed by the Viteri / Lapeña studio. The concept integrates from the theme of the premises, to furniture, lighting, visual identity, tableware and even the staff’s wardrobe. And the result, it is obvious, is an elegant, sophisticated and fresh space inspired by the circus world of the 40s, with touches of Art Deco.
